What it's actually been like, seven years in
It's done exactly what we hoped it would. Seven years in, it's never needed a repair or a single part beyond bags and filters. What stands out most, day to day, is just how indestructible it feels, this isn't a vacuum you worry about. It cleans genuinely well too, good capacity, and changing the bag has always been straightforward rather than a fiddly job we dread. My husband has been known to vacuum the garage floor with it, and it's taken that in its stride along with everything else.

This is the corded workhorse, not the quick-dash tool. We still reach for the handheld Dyson for a fast once-over, and the Henry for anything that's an actual job. If you're after something for thirty-second tidy-ups, this isn't the one. If longevity matters more to you than convenience, this is hard to argue with.

We think we paid around £100 at the time, though we're not entirely certain of the exact figure this many years on. Seven years in with no repairs and no parts beyond consumables, it's been one of the easier purchases to justify in hindsight.
